CRL has an established Quality System

Our Quality System details structured processes with policies and procedures. Our quality system program evaluates the effectiveness of its policies and procedures; identifies and corrects problems; assures the accurate, reliable, and prompt reporting of test results and storage reports; and assures the competency of the staff.

Information system to ensure integrity of chain-of-custody

CRL’s Laboratory Information System (LIS) tracks samples from accessioning, to processing and storage. At any point in time the LIS can be queried for sample location and status. LIS also provides storage location information for automatic retrieval and management reports that document chain-of-custody.

Redundant systems for power and refrigeration

Each of CRL’s facilities has a backup power generator that automatically comes on within 10 seconds of power outage. CRL has a freezer and refrigeration monitoring system and service designed to meet or exceed GMP, GLP, and USDA requirements and meet all 21-CFR-11 guidelines.
