Urine Hyaline Casts

Casts from in the renal tubules and collectin ducst as protein, cells or cellular debris agglutinate and are flushed loose by urine flow. Excessive numbers of casts are associated with renal disease.
Hyaline casts are associated with renal parechymal disease, inflammation, and trauma to the glumerular capillary membrane.
Random urine specimen.
Seven days at room temperature; indefinitely when frozen.
