| INTERFERING FACTORS: |
Less than a 5% change in results due to hemolysis (<500 mg/dL of hemoglobin), lipemia (<1000 mg/dL of triglycerides), icterus (<40 mg/dL of bilirubin) and proteinuria (<12.5 g/dL of protein).
Individuals undergoing prostate manipulation procedures (prostate massage, rectal examination, prostatectomy or biopsy).

| PURPOSE: |
PSA complexed with ACT comprises a higher proportion of PSA in men with prostate cancer than men withot cancer. Total PSA along with Complex PSA provide additional information in the differential diagnosis of prostate cancer.
