Separated serum from red or mottled top tube.

Sample stability

Ten days at room temperature, two weeks when refrigerated, indefinitely when frozen.

Interfering factors



Anti-HBc is an indicator of current or previous HBV infection and is helpful in screening programs. It is not associated with recovery from or immunity to Hepatitis B.
