An Important Tool for Improved Risk Selection
CRL is pleased to introduce a new polypharmacy laboratory test to aid insurers in improving risk selection and mortality. Over the last 12 months, CRL has piloted Polypharmacy testing with multiple life insurers. A recent study identified 14% of applicants had medications present in their urine samples that were not reported in their application, on the laboratory consent or in their pharmacy Rx report.
Polypharmacy testing can be ordered via WebOasis or by sending an email to insurancecs@crlcorp.com. Testing can be on an ad hoc basis or as an automated reflex rule based on carrier specified criteria (eg: age / policy amount).
